Η Μαρίνα Μεγανησίου «ΟΔΥΣΣΕΑΣ» για άλλη μια χρονιά επισκέφθηκε την μεγαλύτερη έκθεση παγκοσμίως «METS» στο Αμστερνταμ της Ολλανδίας με σκοπό την προώθηση του νησιού μας και για την συλλογή πληροφοριών και ενημέρωση σε θέματα που αφορούν τον χώρο του yachting και του Marine Management. Η ανταπόκριση ήταν εκωφαντική σε σχέση με το δεδομένο μικρό όγκο της μαρίνας μας σε σύγκριση με τις υπόλοιπες μαρίνες παγκοσμίως.

Εντύπωση μας έκανε το γεγονός ότι ήμασταν η μόνη ελληνική παρουσία, σε συνεργασία με την MDL Marinas, την μεγαλύτερη εταιρία owner – operator παγκοσμίως, στην έκθεση και η επιβεβαίωση ότι δεν είμαστε απλά μια μικρή επιχείρηση, αλλά σημείο αναφοράς σε Ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο για τον τρόπο διαχείρησης Μαρίνών κάτω των 150 θέσεων ελλιμενισμού.

Βεβαίως η προσπάθεια μας δεν θα ήταν ολοκληρωμένη και επιτυχημένη εαν δεν είχαμε την πολυ καλή συνεργασία με τις υπόλοιπες επιχειρήσεις του Μεγανησίου και την στήρηξη της τοπικής κοινωνίας.

Η συνολική προσπάθεια του νησιού μας πλέον είναι ορατή αφού εν μέσω μια τεράστιας οικονομικής ύφεσης, η επισκεψημότητα αυξάνεται, άσχετα εαν η καταναλωτική ικανότητα των επισκεπτών είναι σαφώς μειωμένη.

Ευχαριστούμε όλους όσους μας έχουν στηρήξει σε αυτά τα χρόνια και ευελπιστούμε σε ακόμα καλύτερη συνεργασία στο μέλλον.

Ως στόχος μας για του χρόνου, είναι η επέκταση του χώρου ελλιμενιζομένων σκαφών, η αναβάθμιση του δικτύου παροχής ρεύματος, η επέκταση του καταστήματος ναυτιλιακών ειδών και η διεύρυνση παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών επισκευών στα σκάφη αναψυχής.

Επίσης, πλέον η τροφοδοσία σε καύσιμα για τα σκάφη αναχυψής θα γίνεται από τον εγκαταστημένο σταθμό καυσίμων που θα ενεργοποιηθεί τους πρώτους μήνες του 2014.

Meganisi Marina «Odyseas» attended again this year METS exhibition in Amsterdam Rai Center. The exhibition was of great interest for us as we had the opportunity to gather information crucial for Marina Management and new technologies to accommodate our clients even better then the years before.

Meganisi is an Island under constant development and progress even at these very difficult times of a world wide financial recession. We are very happy to be part of this fantastic success story that everybody has assisted to become a reality.

We feel very lucky and upraised by the fact that we received warm regards by Marina Business Moguls and long time operatives for the way we have our setup despite the limited space, making us a European Market Symbol for marinas of less then 150 boats capacity. We will try to stand up to our reputation of course.

All of the local businesses have upgraded and invested time and funds to achieve the target of attracting more visitors then the year before but also to keep this mild, traditional and sincere hospitality which made Greek Famous as a World Wide Favourite destination.

Meganisi is a boutique resort, unspoiled but elegant with a long way to go of course, but courageous people, willing to take up our constant challenge of creating an ideal environment for us to share with you.

Our sincere gratitude to all of you, who have been supporting our venture all these years, The Haywards’, the Pashentis’s, the Smith’s, the Maroudas’s and another 4584 boats who we have in our records! Visitors without boats, friends and family, our stuff, our partners, and of course the people of Meganisi. All of them.

For next season, we will set more targets such as increasing the berth capacity, upgrade the chandlery and our technical base and of course install our own fuel station giving the peace of mind to our visitors regarding the refuelling needs.
